(WLTX) -- Strong thunderstorms brought heavy rains to parts of the Midlands Sunday evening, bringing the threat of flash flooding to some areas.

The National Weather Service a issued Flash Flood Warning for Richland and Kershaw Counties after thunderstorms brought as much as two inches of rain in the Pontiac area of Richland County, in a short period of time.

News19 Meteorologist Daniel Bonds says showers and thunderstorms will continue to impact the Midlands throughout the night. Impacts from these thunderstorms include heavy rain and possible flooding.
