Andrea Mock joined the News19 team in April, and she's so happy to call Columbia her home.

Andrea joins us from WNWO in Toledo, OH where she was as an Anchor and Reporter. Prior to that she was the Anchor and Executive Producer of the morning shows at WDTV in Clarksburg/Morgantown, WV. She also served as an Anchor and Field Producer for "News Ohio" a weekly civics program on PBS. Andrea spent two years at Ohio University in the Scripps Howard School of Journalism. She transferred to Kent State University to specialize in broadcast news. There, she received several honors including President’s List for 4.0 GPA, Dean’s List, Golden Key National Honor Society, the Journalism Alumni Scholarship, and the Gene Stebbins Journalism Scholarship.

Andrea says she is very proud to be a military wife. Her husband Chris is an F-16 Pilot in the United States Air Force, and is stationed at Shaw Air Force Base. And to her, there are no greater heroes than the men and women who serve our country.

After losing many loved ones to cancer, Andrea started volunteering with the American Cancer Society, acting as a chairperson for the Relay for Life, and helping them with media relations. She's a member of the Midlands American Cancer Society Advisory Council and on the planning committee for Columbia's new Downtown Relay for Life. She also served as the host for the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon, and represented the state of West Virginia in their National Telethon in Orlando, Florida.
On her days off she likes to spend as much time as she can with her family, who she calls the driving force in her life. She also enjoys reading, exercising, and the beach. As a newlywed, Andrea is busy learning to cook and always keeps the fire extinguisher closeby.
