Michael Benning

Michael Benning joined the WLTX News19 team in May of 2008.

His first job in television was at KIMT in Mason City, Iowa. He left with more knowledge of farming and agriculture than he ever wanted to know. On the flip side, he got the chance to experience the Iowa caucuses, meeting most of the 2008 presidential candidates.

Michael graduated from Miami University of Ohio. He grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and loves the Bears. He also loves to play sports and spend time with his wife Shari. Michael's life is also defined by his faith.

Michael enjoys meeting new and interesting people everyday, but most of all, he likes creatively sharing their stories. He is so excited to have the chance to do one of his life’s passions in the Midlands.
