COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier says his program has more to offer than ever before.
And the coach cashed in on Wednesday, landing a consensus top-20 class of recruits.
The group of 25 is led by the state of South Carolina's "Mr. Football," receiver Shaq Roland of Lexington High. It's the fourth straight year Spurrier's signed the player who won the state's top honor following cornerback Stephon Gilmore in 2009, tailback Marcus Lattimore in 2010 and defensive end Jadeveon Clowney last winter.
Spurrier was glad to build off the improvements of the past few season that included the Southeastern Conference's Eastern Division title in 2010 and an 11-win season this fall for first time ever.
Spurrier said the Gamecocks will try and accomplish more with the newest class.
