Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Crews put up the new sign honoring USC running back Marcus Lattimore Friday afternoon.
The banner, which is in the ramps above the northwest corner of the end zone, commemorates Lattimore's 38 career rushing touchdowns, the all-time mark in school history.
A formal ceremony to give tribute to the accomplishment will take place during Saturday's USC-Arkansas game.
Lattimore broke the old record set by 1980 Heisman Trophy Winner George Rogers.
Because he's still recovering from a knee injury that ended his season, Lattimore's doctors have told him not to attend the ceremony.
