Kershaw County, SC (WLTX) - — Kershaw County deputies say a suspect stole from people's cars while they were in church Sunday.

Officers say they got a call just after noon on April 23 that someone had broken into two cars outside two churches in the Westville Community of Kershaw County. When officers got there, they were able to get a description of the suspect's vehicle, which was a Dodge pickup.

One of the stolen items was a phone with location services. That allowed officers to track the phone--and the truck--to a location in Camden. Officers went to that city, where they spotted the truck at a gas station on West Dekalb Street.

They arrested the driver, 38-year-old Casey Maurice Frierson, at the scene. Deputies say they found the stolen items inside the car. One of the officers even called one of the stolen phones, which rang from inside the truck, they say.

Deputies say Frierson has previous arrests for burglar and grand larceny.
