American travelers enjoy sampling McDonald's menu items unique to foreign countries and starting Wednesday, you can do so without having to dig out your passport.
The restaurant the fast-food company is opening on the ground floor of its new corporate headquarters in Chicago will serve a rotating selection of global menu items.
The inaugural line-up is:
Mighty Angus Burger from Canada
A 1/3 lb. angus burger with a glazed poppy and sesame seed bun, lettuce, onion, cheese, bacon and smoky angus sauce.
McSpicy Chicken Sandwich from Hong Kong
A fried, spicily-breaded, marinated chicken breast on a sesame seed bun with lettuce.
Cheese & Bacon Loaded Fries from Australia
Fries, served with warm melted cheese and crispy bacon bits.
Mozza Salad from France
A pasta salad with balsamic vinegar, roasted tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, arugula, served with a breadstick and a choice of crispy or grilled chicken,
Manhattan Salad from France
A mix of lettuces and baby kale, grape tomatoes, dried cranberries and sliced apples, served with a breadstick and a choice of crispy or grilled chicken.
McFlurry Prestígio from Brazil
Vanilla soft serve ice cream with strawberry sauce and chocolate-covered coconut bites.
“As part of our new headquarters, we wanted to provide our customers with an exciting way to experience our global menu right here in Chicago,” CEO Steve Easterbrook said in a statement.
