Basketball Coaches Reach Out To Garvin

South Carolina head men's basketball coach Murray Garvin talked about how college coaches across the country have reached out to him.

Minutes after an overtime win over Charleston Southern, the first words from S.C. State head basketball coach Murray Garvin were about Ty Solomon and how the game was dedicated to him.

Solomon is the senior guard from Charleston. It was a couple of weeks ago when the Bulldogs were in Raleigh that Solomon collapsed on the bench during the N.C. State game and had to be revived by men's basketball trainer Tyler Long and local EMS personnel.

Garvin says the tight-knit fraternity that is college basketball coaches showed why as they reached out to Garvin to show their support for one of their own.

"I'm still getting letters and tweets and emails and phone calls," Garvin said.

"We're a tight-knit community. No one wants to see a young man get injured or go down and it's been tremendous with the outpouring of love and encouragement. I believe we won some news fans with the way we handled the situation. So again, prayers for Ty, thank everyone out there in your listening audience that is praying for our basketball team and hopefully, you all will come out and watch us play on Saturday against Jacksonville."
