DiBattisto Named Dreher Athletics Director

For the second time in his career, Jeff DiBattisto has been hired to oversee an entire athletics department.

Jeff DiBattisto is no stranger to being an athletics director. He had that title from 2011-2013 at Cardinal Newman. Now he is returning to that role.

After two seasons as the head basketball coach at Westwood High School. DiBattisto has been named the new A.D. at Dreher High School, the same school he coached for three seasons before taking over at Westwood.

Now, after leading the Redhawks to a series of firsts - a share of a region title, a playoff win and the third round of the 4A state playoffs, DiBattisto is putting up his whistle and will return to a role as full-time administrator.

"I really enjoy athletic administration and coming back to Dreher was an opportunity I couldn't pass up," said DiBattisto.

The former manager at USC under Eddie Fogler admitted giving up coaching is tough because of the relationships that are built. But he is excited about overseeing the entire athletic program at one of the AAAA schools in Richland School District One.

"I am hopeful that through my experiences as both a coach and AD, I can help our coaches and students reach their full potential and have great experiences in their time at Dreher."

DiBattisto takes over for longtime athletics director Mike Dubard who is stepping down.
