Clemson Sweeps DH, Takes Notre Dame Series

NOTRE DAME, IN — Clemson in a double header with Notre Dame to wrap up their road series on Sunday. Clemson took the first game 6-3 and they won by three runs to take game two and the series.

Chris Williams at the dish with two outs in the first inning and he makes his hit to right field count. He plates Logan Davidson and the Tigers get on the board first.

Jake Higginbotham was solid on the mound for Clemson. He led them with 3Ks in 5 innings of work with two earned and improved to 4-1 on the year.

In the fifth inning Kier Meredith gets one through the gap in right field and Patrick Cromwell will slide home for the run and it's 2-0 Clemson.

Fast forward to eighth and the Tigers are holding on to a 3-2 advantage. But Williams delivers again. Two men on base for him and gets another rbi single to push the Tiger lead back to two runs. He was 2-4 with 2 rbis on the day.

Clemson goes on to win 5-2. They sweep the double header and take the series 2-1 over the Irish.

The Tigers now have 25 wins and 10 victories in the ACC. The series win over Notre Dame is their fourth ACC series victory of the year.

Clemson plays SEC foe Georgia in North Augusta this Tuesday.
