Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The basketball court that saw the University of South Carolina women's basketball team clinch its first-ever SEC regular-season championship in 2014 is being sold to the highest bidder.

South Carolina Athletics made the announcement on Thursday that the Colonial Life Arena's basketball court that's been there since 2006 will be auctioned off starting Friday. The court was produced by the Horner Flooring Company, and originates from the 2006 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Atlanta Regional.

The court saw ten years of play, including 45 consecutive home games between 2013 and 2016, won by the USC women's basketball team, and 7 of the USC men's basketball team's 10 SEC victories during the 2008-2009 season.

The court also made history when USC men's basketball defeated No. 1 Kentucky, 68-62 in 2010, the first win over a No.1-ranked team in the program's history.

The opening bid was $20,000. If you would like to make a bid in the auction, you can visit the South Carolina Department of Administration Property Surplus website at: https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=15271&acctid=685
