USC Senior Sprinter Sets New School Record In 200 Meters

COLUMBIA, SC — Over at the Cregger Track the South Carolina track and field team held their last home meet of the regular season.

It was also senior day and Titi put on a show. The senior sprinter from South Africa set a new school record in the 200 meters with a time of 20.00. He bested his own school record with that time and posted the best time in the NCAA and third fastest time in the world this season.

He also took second in the 100 meter dash with a personal record of 10.16 seconds as Demek Kemp of SC state just edges him at the finish line at 10.5.

USC's Makyla Stanley took advantage of the good weather conditions by winning the women's long jump event.That was the start of a huge day for USC.

Milan Parks won the women's 110 meter hurdles in 13.39 seconds to lead USC's 1-2-3 sweep in the event.

Senior jumper Tye Williams won the men's high jump event clearing 6'-9 1/2".

The Gamecocks won 18 events in their home finale. They'll be in the legendary Penn Relays next weekend.
