A Boil Water Advisory Issued for Clarendon County

Some residents living in Clarendon County are being told to boil their water because of Hurricane Matthew.

Clarendon County, SC (WLTX)- Hurricane Matthew is still causing problems across the Midlands including Clarendon County.

The Clarendon County Water and Sewer Department advises the residents living in Eagle Pointe, Wyboo Pointe, Wyboo Plantation, Quail Ridge and Lake Marion Shores to vigorously boil their water for at least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking. Also, any ice made from water which has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes.

This is due to low or loss of pressures being experienced due to power loss from Hurricane Matthew.

The Clarendon County Water and Sewer Dept. is working to correct the problem.

If you should have any questions, you may call the utility office at 803-433-3255.
