Batesburg-Leesville, SC (WLTX) - Batesburg-Leesville Police are looking for a man they say was involved in a conspiracy to rob his own restaurant, which led to the death of an employee.
Officials said they plan to arrest Roderquiz Cooke, who was the manager at the McDonald's on West Columbia Avenue in Batesburg-Leesville. Previous Coverage: Man Killed While Taking Out Trash at McDonald's
Officials said the other suspects involved: Tasha Marie Matthews, Angelo Pierce Tucker, and Meon Mikel DeAnglius Miller are all charged with murder. Officials said they are also being charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and robbery.
Officers said Matthews lived with Cooke for nine years.
Investigators said the incident happened around 11:30 p.m October 13.
During the attempted robbery, 57-year-old Willie Jennings was taking out the trash and was shot and killed in the McDonald's parking lot.
Friends of Jennings told News19 he had a young child and was expecting another soon.
