Victim Identified in South Beltline Boulevard Shooting

Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- The identity has been released of the man who was shot and killed in Columbia on Saturday night. 

Richland County Coroner, Gary Watts tells News19, the deceased is 21-year-old Kortney Bryant.  Watts says the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the chest.

Two shootings occured on South Beltline Boulevard Saturday evening. City of Columbia Police say someone fired shots into Magic Cuts Barber Shop on 307 South Beltline Boulevard.  Officers say one person was hit there, and taken to a hospital. We're told the injuries are non life-threatening.

Authorities say 10 minutes later, more shots were fired at 320 South Beltline Boulevard, which is the Woodland Terrace Apartments. We're told that's where Bryant was shot , and later died at the hospital.
