USC's Steve Spurrier answers questions on his radio call-in show
Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- USC head football coach Steve Spurrier took to the airwaves Thursday night as part of his weekly call-in show.
The coach touched on a number of topics including the departure of Stephen Garcia, saying he and the team are rooting for the Tampa native who was dismissed from the team permanently earlier this week.
"Heck,I hope he has a chance to play pro football somewhere," Spurrier said.
The coach also briefly commented on the Tuesday news conference that saw him dress down The State columnist Ron Morris.
"I'm not proud of what I did," he said. "I'm not apologizing for it. I don't know if I was right. I dont' know if I was wrong. But I can assure you this. It won't happen again. Once is enough. That won't happen again as long as I'm at South Carolina."
Spurrier and the Gamecocks will travel to Starkville for Saturday's SEC showdown against Mississippi State. Kickoff is set for 12:20 pm.
