Richland County, SC (WLTX) - Richland County Coroner Gary Watts has released the names of two people who died after two separate traffic accidents.
The most recent accident happened at 2:40 Saturday morning. Watts said that 28-year-old Marcus Roberts was the rear seat passenger in a vehicle driving on Heyward Brockington Road in Columbia. Roberts was not wearing a seatbelt when the vehicle crashed into a tree and died from his injuries at 6:48 am, according to Watts.
The second accident happened on October 13, at approximately 10:30pm. Watts said that 47-year-old Kimberly Woodard was hit by a vehicle on Shop Road and was transported to Palmetto Richland Memorial. Woodard died from her injuries early Saturday Morning.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate both collisions.
