Troopers: 7-Year-Old Dead, One Charged with DUI

Lexington County, SC (WLTX) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol MAIT team is investigating after a collision left a 7-year-old dead Friday night.

Lexington County Coroner Harry Harmon said Cameron Upchurch of Lexington was pronounced at Lexington Medical Center from the injuries he received in the accident.

Troopers said Robert Craft, 28, of Pelion has been charged with DUI causing great bodily harm and DUI resulting in a death.

The accident happened on SC 6 near Foxborough Boulevard around 8:30 p.m.

Troopers said there were two cars involved; five people were in the first vehicle and two were in the second vehicle.

Troopers said all people involved had injuries and were either transported to Palmetto Richland Hospital or Lexington Memorial Hospital.

The accident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner's Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol MAIT team.
