FBI: Person in Pickup May Know More About Cross Burning

Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Investigators are searching for a two-tone pickup truck they say may be driven by someone they think may know more about burned cross left in a yard of a Gervais Street home.

According to FBI agents, a burning cross was left in the yard of 45-year-old Mitchell Smith at about 4:15 a.m. on Oct. 21

Investigators believe that the driver of the truck, which is said to be burgundy and silver, may know more about the crime. Officials say the model year of the truck could be from 1988 to 1998, and investigators say they could see a chrome toolbox in the bed of the truck.
