Lexington, SC (WLTX) - Three women who were inappropriately touched by a Lexington chiropractor are speaking out about what happened behind the doors of the doctor's office.
Ronald Shows, 52, was arrested in March of 2011 after five women testified that Shows had them remove their clothes, put on hospital gowns, and touched them in private areas. He's been sentenced to nine years in prison for his crimes.

We have to hide their faces but the pain they all experience is real. These three victims tell News19 they decided to share their story with so other sexual assault victims in the community find the strength to come forward.
"He handed me a hospital gown and asked me to remove my pants which I had never done before," said one victim.
"When he was doing this to me, he wasn't talking at all. I remember thinking to myself he was enjoying it," said another.
These victims all share a common bond. When they arrived to Dr. Ronald Shows offices with real problems, none of them asked for what happened next on the examination table.
"He reached into the inside of my panties and I automatically jerked my leg and said whoa."
"He went back down the back of my shoulders, back up around my rib cage where he was touching the outsides of my breasts and he continued that circular motion."
The three paint a picture of a Christian man, who they say was brilliant at manipulation, using scripture and his medical terminology to gain their trust.
"He walked back around to the other side then asked me if I ever heard of the old saying that your chiropractor gets to know your body as well as you do?"
"But this particular time when I was laying on my stomach when he was doing this to me, he wasn't talking at all."
The vicimts say the bond they share is strength. They believe if they had not come forward with their story, others would have been in their shoes.
"Devastating, this is the worst thing that has ever happened to me in my life."
"I don't want other women or children to doubt their own gut instinct because the person that is doing it to them is supposed to be somebody that they are supposed to trust."
With the man who assaulted them now behind bars, they hope their message reaches others in the Midlands.
"It doesn't matter if it is a doctor, a dentist, if it's your parents, if anybody is doing anything inappropriate to you and I don't care how old you are, it's not ok."
"I just want other women to know, just because you sign a consent form for a doctor to treat you, doesn't give them the right to touch you in places that you feel uncomfortable in."
Dr. Shows has been sentenced to nine years in prison. He has also been ordered to register as a sex offender.
