Blythewood, SC (WLTX) - Bose is laying off 200 employees in South Carolina, a company spokesperson has confirmed.
Carolyn Cinotti told News19 that the company is "restructuring our manufacturing operations to respond to the distribution demands of a global market."
The company also will consolidate its North American operations, and that means moving production of some Bose products from South Carolina to Mexico.
Cinotti, however, says the company still will make products at their plant in Richland County, despite the reduced workforce.
