Lexington, SC (WLTX) - The victim in a hit and run in Pelion Wednesday night has been identified.
Coroner Harry Harman says 59-year-old Irma L. Hudson died in the collision which took place at 6:41 p.m. at 1325 Pine Street.
According to investigators, Hudson was leaving the county dump site on Pine Street when she got out of her car to pick up trash cans that had fallen out of the back of her vehicle. As she was picking up the items, a vehicle hit her, and then left the scene.
Hudson died at the scene.
Troopers say the suspect's vehicle is a 2000 gray GMC pickup with Texas tags BC49014. The vehicle has damage on the center front of the truck near the grill and the GMC emblem is missing because it was found at the scene.
Police also want to find a person of interest in the case, Romeo Ramero Jr.
