Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Rapper Drake stopped by Dreher High School Tuesday to deliver a positive message about schools to students.
Drake was in Columbia for a performance Tuesday night at the Colonial Life Arena.
Students didn't know he was going to stop by; in fact, he didn't tell administrators about his plan until Monday.
The students were told to come down to the auditorium for a speaker, and shortly after they arrived, Drake entered.
As you might imagine, they exploded in applause and cheers.
When he took the mic, instead of a song, students heard about the importance of making good choices, finishing school, and listening to their teachers.
The appearance was part of the entertainer's volunteer outreach program.
After he spoke, he stayed a few minutes to talk to students.
