Richland County, SC (WLTX) - A Brookland-Cayce High School teaching assistant accused of criminal sexual conduct with a minor has been arrested in Richland County on similar charges.

Cornelius Davis, 29, was arrested Thursday morning by deputies. Earlier this week, he was arrested in Mt. Pleasant on claims he had sex with an underage girl. Previous Coverage: Teacher Accused of Criminal Sexual Conduct With Underage Girl

In this Richland County case, the victim's mother told officers that Davis called asking if the victim could help him out at a softball game at Lower Richland High School.

The victim, according to officers, is a special needs student.

Deputies go on to say that Davis took the victim and her sister to his home. According to deputies, he then sexually assaulted the victim in a bedroom.

Officers say Davis told the girl that if she didn't agree to the sex act, he would harm her family.

Richland County deputies say they are charging him with criminal sexual conduct with a minor/second degree. He is also facing a charge from Cayce for an incident involving the same victim.
