GREENVILLE, S.C. (GreenvilleOnline.com) -- Authorities say they're not expecting to bring charges in the death of a 73-year-old man whose fully clothed body was found submerged in the Reedy River behind his home.
The investigation continues Monday morning with an autopsy, but Jennings Autrey, a spokesman for the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, said foul play is not suspected so far.
Mike Ellis, deputy chief coroner for Greenville County, identified the man as Eugene N. Medeiros and said he lived alone at 48 Southwood Drive off of Fork Shoals Road.
Ellis said Medeiros' son and two daughters came to Greenville from Oklahoma after neighbors reported the man missing.
Medeiros' children found his body in the river behind his house this morning about 8:45 a.m., Ellis said.
