6 slices of bread, sliced one inch thick, with a pocket cut into them Bananas, sliced Strawberries, sliced
1 cup Half and Half
1 tsp Vanilla
1 TB Sugar
pinch of salt
Whisk together eggs, cream, vanilla, sugar and salt. Heat large saute pan over medium heat. Stuff cavity of bread with sliced bananas and strawberries. Dredge in egg mixture until well soaked. Drain off excess egg mixture. Add half of butter to pan and add half of the stuffed bread. Brown on both sides and remove. Add other half of butter to pan and brown other pieces of bread. Serve with additional butter and maple, or berry, syrup.
