SENECA, S.C. (AP) -- Officials are investigating the death of a man who was in custody of narcotics officers in Oconee County.
Officials say 46-year-old Rodney Andrew Haymon of Westminster was arrested Tuesday afternoon. Deputies say he had sold cocaine to undercover officers near Seneca.
Coroner Karl Addis says an autopsy Wednesday afternoon revealed no physical injuries that would have cause Haymon's death. Addis says the man suffered two fractured ribs, but that is normal with CPR efforts.
Addis says he is awaiting the results of toxicology tests from the State Law Enforcement Division.
Officers say Haymon was cooperating and was being driven to Clemson when he had was appeared to have a seizure after drinking some water and a sports beverage.
He was taken to Oconee Memorial Hospital in Seneca where he died.
