Lexington, SC (WLTX) - A Lexington County judge has sentenced Kenneth Andrew Lynch to life in prison for killing a West Columbia grandmother and granddaughter.
Judge Eugene Griffith issued the sentence Tuesday morning, wrapping up several days of testimony in the penalty phase of the trial. Lynch had waived his right to a jury trial, putting his fate in the judge's hands.
Lynch was found guilty last week in the deaths of Portia Washington and Washington's granddaughter, Angelica Livingston. The two had been reported missing in 2006, but their bodies were never found.
