Pats sign first-round draft choice DE Jones

Foxboro, MA (Sports Network) - The New England Patriots signed first-round draft selection Chandler Jones on Wednesday.

Jones, a defensive end from Syracuse who was named All-Big East in 2011, registered 38 tackles and 4 1/2 sacks in just seven games last season.

The three-year starter finished his career with 147 tackles, 10 sacks and five forced fumbles.
