Lexington,SC (WLTX) Lamar Wayne Chavis, 32 of Gaston was killed Saturday night in a motorcycle accident.
According to Lexington Co. Coroner Harry O. Harman, Mr. Chavis was traveling northbound on Whetstone Road toward Swansea when he ran into the passenger side of a 2012 Mustang which had just pulled out from a stop sign on Woodford Road.
Mr. Chavis was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced at the scene. An autopsy will be performed today to determine the cause of death.
The accident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner's Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
