Richland County, SC (WLTX) - The summer months can be hard for parents to provide lunch for their children who are on free and reduced lunch during the school year.
So to help out, Richland School District One has secured 132 sites in Richland and Lexington counties that will provide lunch for free. It's all part of the federally funded Seamless Summer Feeding Program.
Any child can go to any of the sites and ask for a meal, which will be provided at no cost to them.
Although Richland One is coordinating this program, these meals are available to any child, not just those that live in the district.
