Richland County, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies have arrested two people they say are responsible for a killing from 2006.
Sheriff Leon Lott announced Thursday that 23-year-old Christopher Trice and 23-year-old Tomasina Miller are in custody. The pair is charged with murder, two counts of armed robbery, two counts of kidnapping, and burglary.
Lott says back on November 12, 2006, officers got a call of a shooting at 7648 Garners Ferry Road. When they arrived, they found the body of Joseph Richardson, who they say was shot in the chest.
Deputies were able to break the case thanks information two victims from another crime provided. On August 28 of 2006, a Dollar General on Beltline Boulevard was robbed. A man and woman inside that store were robbed and assaulted by people later identified as Trice and Miller.
The information from the victims led investigators to look at Trice and Miller as suspects in Richardson's killing.
Lott says additional arrests are expected in this case.
