(WLTX) - News19 is traveling to Omaha to cover the College World Series, and some of our staff are getting to see a slice of Americana as they make their way there.
Anchor J.R. Berry, Sports Director Reggie Anderson, and photojouralist Van Lott packed up an SUV and left Wednesday morning.
Their destination? TD Ameritrade Park, the site of the championship round. What's in front of them? Eighteen hours of road.
And that road already had a bit of bump in it--literally. While traveling through Madison, Georgia, an 18-wheeler backed into them while they were in traffic. No one was hurt--just slightly delayed.
You can watch their report from the side of the road attached to this article. Once they make it to Omaha, they'll be delivering comprehensive reports on the team, USC fans who've made the trip, and all the little odds and ends that make the College World Series unique.
