Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The Columbia Police Department is increasing its recruitment of new officers.
The department recently established a presence at Fort Jackson's processing center for soldiers leaving the military.
Columbia police said they had 40 vacancies and as of today... The number is down to 14.
Columbia police said military values are very similiar to law enforcement. They add that they anticipate filling all openings soon becaue they have several applications still being reviewed.
