Members of the House Ethics Committee discuss whether to reopen the complaint against Gov. Nikki Haley.
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - The House Ethics Committee has approved a list of who it wants to testify in its investigation into allegations that Gov. Nikki Haley illegally lobbied while a member of the House.
The committee voted unanimously on whom to subpoena for next week's public hearing. The list won't be available until 2:30 p.m. There was no public discussion. The committee went behind closed doors immediately after the meeting started to discuss the witness list.
A complaint by Republican activist John Rainey accuses the Republican governor of illegally lobbying in her previous jobs as a fundraiser for a hospital and consultant for an engineering firm. Haley has repeatedly said she did nothing wrong.
