Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Tropical Storm Chris formed late Tuesday afternoon, the third tropical storm of the season.
The storm was located 565 miles south-southwest of Cape Race, Newfoundland, well away from the United States.
As of 11 P.M Tropical Storm Chris had maximum winds at 45 mph and was moving to the east-southeast at 13 mph.
The storm is expected to continue on a path towards the east and then eventually make a turn towards north-northwest and should weaken.
The storm is not expected to make an impact on the United States.
