Orangeburg County, SC (WLTX) - Orangeburg County deputies have arrested four suspects in connection with a woman's fatal shooting.

Officers arrested the following suspects:

Deshaun Jamel Fordham, 18--charged with murder

Donte Jarod Stokes, 21--charged with murder

Jerry Jarell McKnight, 18--charged with murder/attempted murder

Demetric Deontre Quattlebaum, 17--charged with accessory before the fact of a felony

Officers say Thursday afternoon, a male victim left a store at Bass Drive and Britain Street in Santee and got into his van with the female victim, identified at 31-year-old Kathy Mack. .

According to deputies, Fordham and Stokes fired shots at the vehicle, striking Mack. The male victim kept driving, and went to a nearby business where he called law enforcement.

The male victim was able to provide a description of the suspects' vehicle. Within an hour of the shooting, the individuals were detained.

Investigators say one of the suspects had an ongoing disagreement with the male victim.

Witnesses told the Orangeburg Times & Democrat that crime scene technicians looking for evidence in the van also found a small puppy.
