Richland County, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies have arrested a former University of South Carolina football player on a charge of criminal sexual conduct third degree.
Kentrell Lafette Davis, 21, turned himself over to authorties Thursday night at the Richland County Jail.
Deputies say back on May 31, Davis and a 21-year-old female left Columbia's Five Points together and went to his apartment. At the apartment, officers say he had sex with her without her consent.
Davis did not play at all in 2011, but did see time as a defensive lineman in 2009 and 2010. Davis was informed in April that he was not having his scholarship renewed, and has not participated in any USC activities since then.
