Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The bodies of two South Carolina Guardsmen killed in action were returned home Thursday.
The bodies of Lieutentant Ryan Rawl and Sergeant John Meador were flown from Dover Air Force base on a charter flight to Eagle Aviation.
Rawl and Meador were both from the Midlands. They were killed in Afghanistan last week when a suicide bomber detonated a vest inside a busy market they were patrolling.
Meador was given a promotion to sergeant after he died.
The men were serving with the 133rd military police company which was training Afghan police forces.
