Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Police arrested three teens at the Elloree Boys and Girls Club Wednesday afternoon for simple possession of marijuana.
Elloree Police Chief Preston Avinger and Assistant Chief Lin Shirer drove by the Boys and Girls Club after recieving complaints that drug activity was occuring in the parking lot.
One of the teens arrested was 17 year-old Jerrell Richardson of Cordova. Police say Richardson was just in court last month after authorities claimed he and two others attempted to rob a drug dealer. The attempted robbery led to the death of a minor. Richardson had made bond and was released.
Judge Peggy Doremus denied his bond. His next court date is set for July 16th.
The other two teens, 18 year-old Octavious Sellers and 18 year-old John Davis, were released on $620 cash surety.
Sellers had a previous charge for petty larceny back in October 2011.
