Columbia, SC (WLTX) - People all around the country are remembering tv icon Andy Griffith.

Griffith died Tuesday at the age of 86 in North Carolina.

He of course was best-known for his role as Sheriff Andy Taylor from his self-titled tv show in the 1960s, "The Andy Griffith Show."

We went to Atria Assisted Living Commmunity in Columbia and talked to residents there who grew up with the program.
