Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Two men waked into a Columbia pizza restaurant, took money from the register and left the business. Richland County Sheriff's Deputies are asking for your help identifying the crooks, who they say might be connected to other crimes in the area.
The robbery happened Tuesday, June 12 at a Papa John's Pizza along the 800 block of St. Andrews Road. Deputies have surveillance video of the suspects inside the store. In the video, one of the men is seen handing a note to an employee in the business. Investigators say the note indicated that the suspect had a gun, and that he wanted money. The employee opened the cash register and the video shows the thieves reaching in, grabbing cash and leaving the store.
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says the crooks have committed similar robberies at businesses in South Congaree and Lexington County.
