Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- In a letter dated July 2nd that was posted on the front door, Houston's Low Country Grill announced they've closed.
The letter reads:
"Houston's Low Country Grill would like to thank you for your continued support since our opening in September 2010 to the present. We have been honored to provide a unique dining experience to our customers. We are truly grateful for your patronage. As of July 2nd, we have closed the restaurant for reasons beyond our control. One of the reasons being we were not able to get on a daily base the number of customers needed to sustain business. Houston's Enterprise Catering will remain available to support all of your catering and entertaining needs. Please contact our catering office at 803-254-1188.

Houston's Low Country Grill is the 2nd restaurant on North Main Street that the city of Columbia underwrote that has closed.
In August of last year, Cici's Pizza closed after being open for 13 months.
Calls to the city have not yet been returned.
