HARDEEVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say three women died in a one-car wreck on Interstate 95 north near Hardeeville.
Investigators said it appeared the driver of the car swerved to avoid debris in the road Friday morning, lost control and hit a tree near mile marker 12.
Authorities say two of the women died at the scene of the wreck, while the third woman died a short time later at the hospital.
The names of the women or where they were from has not been released.
Authorities say traffic backed up for four miles after the wreck.
