Columbia, SC (WLTX) - "When there's something strange... In your neighborhood... Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters!"  We all remember the famous movie, but did you know that South Carolina has our own team of ghost fighters?

Turning a halloween costume into a hobby, the South Carolina Ghostbusters is a group of cosplayers and prop builders that use their love of the Ghostbusters films to have fun. They put on proton packs and take their slime blowers when they dress up for events like free comic book day to spend time with other fans.

Group member John Arledge says they hope to spread the fun of costuming and prop building and just make people happy.  "Seeing somebody smile and light up their face because of what you're doing... even if it's something as simple as this... it's just a great feeling to me."
