Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- After one arrest, Spartanburg County Sheriff's Deputies are still searching for another woman they say is a suspect in a counterfeit checks case involving the Spartanburg County Clerk of Court's Office.

Deputies arrested 23-year-old Courtney Cheeks of Spartanburg on Friday in connection with the case. Cheeks is charged with forgery. Her bond is set at $5,000.

However, Spartanburg Public Safety Department Officers are still searching for Tura Le Van Miller who is charged with two counts of forgery.

Authorities say that a complaint came from the Clerk of Court's Office that fraudulent checks, totaling $6,000, were created with the office's banking information. The bad checks had the office's routing account number used on child support checks.

Lt. Tony Ivey says several checks were cashed at multiple WalMart locations and a Food Lion. The checks were made payable to Cheeks and Miller from companies named Spartan Industrial Supply and United Van Lines.

Clerk of Court Hope Blackley said the office hasn't lost any money because the checks were discovered immediately and were not issued by the office.

Anyone with information on the case or Miller's whereabouts are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 58-CRIME.
