COLUMBIA, SC - Mike Sullivan, a Meals On Wheels volunteer with Senior Resources is one of 25 volunteers nationwide competing in the 2012 American Volunteer contest.

Not only will the nominee receive the Meals On Wheels Association of America's Joey Tepedino Nicholo award, Senior Resources (the nominating program) will receive $1,000 and a set of four tires (compliments of Bridgestone Retail Operations).  Competition continues until 11:59 PM on August 21.  You can only vote once.

The official website for the contest is on this Facebook Page.  All 25 videos are posted.  Be sure to find Mike Sullivan to watch his video and to vote.  Watching the video does not count as a vote;  you must "cast" your vote. Once you have voted, please share and encourage your friends to join you in voting for this committed volunteer from the Midlands.

Every vote counts! Senior Resources' Meals On Wheels program depends on monies raised in contests like these to help continue to deliver meals to homebound seniors in the community. In 2011 community volunteers, like Mike Sullivan, helped Senior Resources deliver more than 100,000 meals.
