Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Officials from the South Carolina Highway Patrol say a three vehicle collision resulted in one death in Laurens County around 9:40pm Friday night.
According to Lance Corporal Sonny Collins, the victim was traveling south on US 25 riding a moped when a man in a 2005 Ford Pickup hit him from behind.
Officials say that the moped driver flew off his vehicle, landing on the highway, and was then fatality struck by a woman driving a 2007 Saturn Sport Utility.
Collins says the victim was not wearing a helmet. The driver of the Ford Pickup and the Saturn were not injured.
No charges have yet been filed.
This accident remains under investigation by the South Carolina High Patrol.
