SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) -- A pastor was shot in Spartanburg Sunday during an attempted armed robbery, according to investigators.

Police say they were called to the hospital where Anthony Bell was suffering from a gunshot wound.

Bell told authorities he was sitting in his car on Howard Street eating when two men came up to him and asked for a cigarette.

He said he didn't smoke and the men left and returned a short time later.

He says when they came back, they stuck a gun in the window and told him to get out of the car.

According to an incident report, Bell tried to drive away when he was shot in the arm.

He drove himself to the hospital.

Police say they are looking for the two men accused.  One is described as a black male in his early 20s, with a low haircut and slender build, wearing a red shirt.  There is no description of the other suspect, other than being a black male.
