Richland County, SC (WLTX) - The Richland County Sheriff's Deptarment and Coroner's office is investigating a drowning in Northwest Richland County.
The incident took place at a pond on private property off Stoudemayer Road.
Coroner Gary Watts says 74-year-old Raynold Stoudemire apparently fell in a pond on his property around 7 p.m. Thursday. His family says they found his golf cart near the pond but didn't see any signs of where he may be.
The sheriff's department sent officers and their dive team to the area. His body was recovered Friday morning.
Deputies say the drowning appears to be accidental.
